You know how at a baseball game people can submit messages to appear on the Jumbotron? Well I set up my very own Jumbotron on the Internet. Ha!
The twist here is that these messages are repeated every year on the same date. That's why my mascot is a parrot.

I launched Karmaparrot in May 2009 to my friends and family. It was during the “Great Recession” and all the news was pretty bleak and all the thinking was short-term. I thought it would be more fun to have my own channel where all the news was good news and all the thinking was long-term.
I’ve tinkered with the concept a bunch since then. For example you can see that some of the older messages were written on notecards. Before that, the messages were all text-based (that was on an earlier version of the site that you can’t see anymore). Now I’ve gone back to text-based messages because I want to post more frequently. I think.
